Critical patients coming for treatment at AIIMS Trauma Centre will not have to go to another hospital for surgery. To provide relief to such patients, the number of operation theatres in the Trauma Centre will be doubled from next month.
AIIMS Trauma Centre currently has five general and one emergency operation theatres. Apart from these, five additional modular operation theatres have been built in the Trauma Centre. All these five OTs are ready. It is expected that they will become operational from next month. After their commissioning, the number of operation theatres in the Trauma Centre will double.
